Great report, and what a cute and intrepid little climber you had with you! The pictures are great as well. I would have been one of the slowpokes you passed (about a week after you went is when I did) and didn't have time for as many as I normally would have. I love the one of Sara summiting out of the hole of nothingness. Going to have to show my wife your pics as they document the path pretty well.

Does anybody have a picture of the chockstone at the top of the trough where one might be able to help describe the paths up it? After taking a good look at it, I remember I thought the left path ultimately looked easier and that's the path I took. I had remembered reading about it but by that point in my hike I'd forgotten about it ... besides, I expected it to be tougher than that. It wasn't until I was at the corner between the trough and the narrows that I realized that that was it.

What a great report. It kept me smiling and practically cheering outloud for the two of you. It is quite an accomplishment for anyone to make it up Long's, but when someone Sara's age makes it, it downright rocks! Good for you, too, Junkie!
