Posted before on a method of starting a fire with ice, and just came across this vid clip on another apparently successful method that could be used when there's no ice!
Thought it could be of interest or maybe as another bit of info' that can be filed away in the memory and someday be of some use...

Just wait until I tell my wife what "new" piece of camping equipment I want to take on my next trip to Rocky and we will see exactly WHAT hits the road!! nono.gif

Just a piece of trivia for you: "Rubber" in British English means "eraser". One of my most embarrassing moments involved learning that it has a different meaning in US English whistling.gif

By the way, that was quite the unusual clip George. I can honestly say I would never have thought of starting a fire that way!

Wow, who knew? Gave whole new meaning to "safe hiking."

"So you're out in the woods hiking alone, and you want to cook some Ramen. Dang, you forgot your matches. And your lighter. But you've got a condom and some water..."

I don't even want to know. blink.gif
