Aaron, I think an interview with Lisa Foster about her book would be a great program! There are few people who know the park better than she does. You could also interview a guide from the Colorado Mountain School about what they offer and advice on being in the back country. I can help you with those contacts. The interview with Smudge will be the best though. yup.gif

Point of protocol -

As Mr. Smudge's personal manager, please remember that all media requests should be routed through MARVtastic Talent, his handling agency.

And did they even call it a fajita? Maybe it was called a Rallindallo, or a Schichsa...

Besides laughing out loud, I had to admire smudge's use of Schichsa. I've not heard that word used in a long, long time - and it makes me curious to know more about smudge's background. Maybe he has some Yiddish pants?

Very correct Eric! A show that would feature Lisa Foster would also be my suggestion! (beat me to it Eric) - ( smile1.gif five.gif )

Seeing what CMS has to offer is cool also! yup.gif

It's definitely going to be a serious show. I'd love to have an interview with Lisa, but I should put that off for a little bit. What I need this week is something that doesn't take very much prep work, yet something desirable for content. There are a lot of ideas here for topics I'll keep in mind for future shows since I'd have to put some time in on them, and it may be too soon of notice to line up an interview with many 'outside the forums' people. I'll probably pick something tonight if I get the time. Maybe I will try a last minute interview with CMS or something?? I'm so confused.....Pants, what would Pants do? That's the way I should attack this!

Just had a talk with my CMS contacts and they won't be able to do it for about a month due to other commitments.

He would eat pine cones and drink axle grease, but I don't see how that's gonna help!

Yes, Aaron needs a simple but true to RMNP idea for this week. He's going to be VERY busy! The honey do list is quite long... only kidding... but he does have some unusual time constraints this week.

(lots of great ideas on here both for this week and future podcasts!)

I was kind of hoping Pants would skip work for a week and play Nintendo Wii constantly....except for occasional trips to the bathroom and/or kitchen.

You need a good PR rep. You'll be fine as long as you don't seek Randy's help.

I would like some research done on when the first Elk Fajita was eating by the Ute Indians in Moraine Park. Where they got there tortillas, how they cooked the meat, where they got the fajita seasoning, what sort of fixin's did they put on the actual fajita, etc...

And did they even call it a fajita? Maybe it was called a Rallindallo, or a Schichsa...

Okay, here's what I've narrowed it down to....

-Historical topic on EP area - F.O. Stanley maybe? (I'm gonna save Sprague and Mills for future shows)
-Photography show with forums experts
-Spring activities
-Altitude sickness/prevention

Whaddya y'all think out of those choices?

I'm certainly not an expert in this camera stuff, but this week I won't be able to do anything. I'm opening the gallery on Thursday, have a Grand Opening on Saturday and am running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get things to come together. Since I'm not sleeping much I'm babbling incoherently which is probably not what you want for your high quality podcast. nono.gif

I think a historical show would be great. I bet you could call the museum and someone there would be happy to be interviewed on a particular personality.

I just emailed the museum. I hope I can find someone to do something when it's a last minute thing like this.
