We spent most of this afternoon in downtown Estes Park, just relaxing and enjoying the beautiful snow which fell in spurts. Lunch was at Casa Grande which has great atmosphere but just average food (too bland for our tastes). We then searched for and found a shop that sells glove liners (I put holes in my last pair climbing down from Mt. Fairchild in August). It was snowing hard while we ran from shop to shop and was so pretty. We stopped for ice cream (crazy I know) and that was fun and yummy. I had a flavor called carrot cake and Sheri had Apple crisp.
The Estes Library has free highspeed wireless internet and our cabin just has dial up. I had to send a large Powerpoint file to church so we spent a couple of hours there relaxing and reading. Sheri wrote her speech for the Awana Grand Prix on Saturday and I read Mad magazine. I also went to Malok's office and bought a picture I've had my eye on for a long time. I love it!
About 4 p.m. we went to Safeway to get some more Raisin Bran and then went to see a movie Sheri picked called "The Guardian." Not having seen any previews, I guessed that it was going to be about some foster kids. Turns out she picked a guy movie (what a great wife!) Kevin Costner, the AARP poster boy for geriatric-action-flicks does a great job in this one. (Next for Costner: Peter Pan—the early years). When we got out of the theater, there was about 3 inches of snow on the ground! I ran out to the car and cleared it off. We nearly got stuck in the driveway going out of the theater. We drove through McDonalds and then went very slowly back to our cabin. Very few people were out and we slipped quite a bit in some sections, but nothing really dangerous. When we walked in the door, we turned on the Cardinal game which was scoreless. Now the Cards are winning. What a FUN day! Woo hoo!

That mexican food will have the cabin warmed up in no time! Watch the fire though.
