Good Food - Good Prices - Outstanding Service!

This was our first trip to Mama Rose's and it won't be our last! Located across the courtyard from Poppy's at 338 E.Elkhorn, across
the street from the library. The dining area is nicely decorated and has a bit of a fancy feel to it, but you'll feel comfortable in any attire. Menu features your typical Italian fare and they have a nice wine selection. Prices were actually reasonable, by any standard.
I had the Arrabiata - $8.95, which translates (loosely) as "angry pasta". Chunky tomatoes in a spicy sauce seasoned liberally with crushed red peppers, garlic, and olive oil. Sandy had the Pasta Di Pompiere - $18.00, rigatoni with smoked salmon, sundried tomatos and capers in a spicy cream sauce. Both were fantastic! A word of warning on the Arrabiata - SPICY - as in HOT!! The meal comes with all you can eat bread and salad. The salad was excellent, the bread just so-so. But the food is the real deal! Great looking desserts, but we passed because we we're just too full.

I give it 4 stars!!
