After church and a quick lunch we got to Glacier Gorge Trailhead at 1:30 p.m. Not the perfect time for hiking, but it is the optimal time for outdoor photography.

Bill007 must have used cheap glue. The aspens had lost their golden leaves

Before arriving at Lake Haiyaha, we found this quiet pool with a nice reflection.

I bought some waterproof gloves a few years ago...the kind cyclers use. My family calls them my "live long and prosper" gloves.

We went back the Dream Lake way to make it a loop. Here's a shot of the lakes as we descended.

We finished at 6 p.m. It was a GREAT hike!

Nice stuff, John! As usual, perfectly lit pictures!!!

On a more serious note, there was a news item out of Joplin, MO from Saturday night about some kids having a wild party at the residence of some Baptist preacher's home. Details are still sketchy, but reports are that the Joplin High School Marching Band and Drill Team, Penn and Teller, and the Baldknobbers from Branson were somehow involved. Animal Control, the County Board of Supervisors and the Future Farmers of America were called in to difuse the situation.

I'm sure it's not your house, I just thought you'd be interested in local events while you're away.
