You're just disappointed because you thought it was supposed to be a beer.

I'm disappointed because I thought DeeCee had a little roadside excitement...wink, wink, nod, nod, nudge, nudge, hubba, hubba...

(...only to find out she just got a little bear.)

OK, call me a big chicken... but I don't particularly want to see a bear up close and personal. Maybe from the car or while in the cabin would be ok but I really don't want to run into one while on the trail.

You mean as opposed to getting a little bare?

If I remember right her mom was present. That tends to cut down on the hubba hubba.

The parents were with me on the September trip. The bare bear was spotted on the October trip.

Unfortunately, the hubba hubba occurred on neither trip.

(Hope springs eternal, though.)

You're a big chicken.

How cool, DeeCee! But with all this bear talk....and the rumor of grizzly bears still possibly being in Colorado, I had a dream about a grizzly getting in our house last night. lol

offtopic: Everytime I see the topic title my brain reads it wrong as "A little roadside excrement". Sorry, I had to let that out of my head. Now back to the topic....sort of.....

Cool pic DeeCee!

Well, Aaron, I suppose that's a possibility, too, though I didn't get close enough to find out. (Seems like I've heard some saying about what bears do in the woods . . . . bear_grin.gif )

Three years ago on the way to Lawn Lake there are two campsite about half way up on the left side across the river. The name of them escapes me for the moment (must be that age thing) and there were two bears trashing the first site. We retreated across the river waited anhours or so and then went back to campt for the night.

Then last year, 2005, a back country ranger met my sonand I at our intended site, North St. Vrain and rerouted us as both that site and Siskin were closed for the night due to bear activity. We didn't see the bear but we passed his scat on the trail back to Pine Ridge where we spent the night.

So big furry is alive and well in the park.
