Weatherbe, thanks for thinking I could take such a nice picture. All the credit goes to Oklahiker for snapping that one. I copied his picture so I could ask a question. I think I answered it myself by looking at other pictures of longs. It looks pretty steep and high. I would love to read other peoples accounts.

I believe that would be the cables route (north face?) I believe theres a trip report or two on here somewhere by those that have done it. I believe it requires ropes in a few places.

Great, great report. You mentioned that the climb was "an epic adventure that I'll remember for a lifetime". HOW TRUE. I did Long's 22 years ago and every picture you posted is STILL incredibly familiar!
