One and two bedroom condos and spa suites.

On our July trip we stayed at Aspen Winds on Fall River Road. It was Suite #10, 1 bedroom, full kitchen. With a 10% discount for a 7 night or more stay, the room cost was $143 per night.

Our suite was downstairs with a nice patio just steps away from the river. Several double wooden swings are placed on the river bank and we took advantage of those every evening. Very relaxing. Elk and bunny rabbits abound.

This suite was not as "fancy" as some of the other places we've stayed, but the differences were all minor cosmetic things. We actually like this place best.

The kitchen was very well equipped - full sized refrigerator, stove and all the cooking and dining equipment you would need. There is a roomy little dining nook with a table that seats 4 next to a river -facing window. This was great for our meals and nightly games.

Living room has a queen couch/futon bed, fireplace, tv/dvd. Bathroom has a large jetted tub and seperate vanity area. Bedroom has king sized bed, tv/dvd and large desk.

The owners are great. Phil is originally from Lincoln. He's the type of guy that will talk your leg off, but only if you approach him. Otherwise he just smiles and goes on his merry way. They go out of their way to help in any way they can. One guy wanted to stay there so badly that he had to rent 3 different suites during his week long stay. Staff would move his stuff from room to room to accomodate him.

Also - free wi-fi and free telephone calls including long distance. Emily was thrilled with this feature as you know howhard it is to get a cell signal outside of Estes. She took great advantage of the free long distance to call her friends at night.

The place would get all the stars I could give them. I know many of you like to camp or stay in the downtown motels, but to us, the place we stay is a major part of the trip. For those of you who like to "condo camp" I highly recommend it.

Great chipper! Glad you had a good experience there yup.gif A co-worker friend of mine is best friends with Phil's wife. My co-worker friend is always trying to get me to go in and prank Phil. I should do that this year whenever it is I make it out.
