Locals Grill is a simple, no-frills sports bar-type establishment serving American cuisine, located right on US-36 in downtown Estes Park.

A late dinner on a rainy Saturday night after arriving in Estes Park.
* Atmosphere-- 3 stars
Kinda like a sports bar, but not so loud and rowdy. There were sports on multiple TV's, but the place was fairly empty. The facilities and decor were simple but sufficient. The front of the restaurant can be opened up to an outdoor patio where diners can eat if they so desire and the weather allows. This gave the whole place a sort open-to-the-street feel.
* Service-- 2 1/2 stars
Just OK. Our waiter seemed generally disinterested in us, and forgot part of my order. That said, he was a nice enough guy, and did make sure we had everything we needed. The service was also fairly prompt.
* Food-- 3 1/2 stars
The food was good. Portions were average-sized; not too big and not too small. My Dad had fish and chips, and I had a wrap, which I really enjoyed. Not a sophisticated menu by any means, but it seemed like they did the "basics" well.
* Price-- 3 stars
About what I'd have expected for what we got. Including tip it ended up costing us just under $25 for two people.
* Overall-- 3 stars
This was a good, quick place for a simple but satisfying dinner. It's not fancy or even anything out-of-the-ordinary and the service left a little to be desired, but if you want to relax with some pretty good American food for a reasonable price, give it a shot.
