Breakfast

Visited May 2006

Breakfast on Sunday morning with a friend. Nothing like a chat and a cup of coffee to start the day.

* Atmosphere-- 4 stars

Pretty much a diner feel to it. Booths with lots of room, not compacted like some places. Clean and bright.

* Service-- 4 stars

Excellent waitstaff. Friendly, helpful and attentive. Put a coffee pot on the table.... wise choice, I can keep someone running on that account.

* Food-- 4 1/2 stars

Felt kinda funny ordering ONE pancake with a side of sausage. But that's what was on the menu. Glad I didn't ask for three or four, cause when they brought it to the table, it was HUGE. It covered a seriously large plate. I'm a big boy, and I can hold my own on food (kind of a hobby), but I didn't leave the table hungry. Not sure what my breakfast buddy had, but it must have been ok, he never stopped eating long enough to complain about the food.

* Price-- 4 stars

Pricing on the menu looked very reasonable, especially for a town like Estes.

* Overall-- 4 stars

Great (big) breakfast, porcelain caffeine input system (coffe cups and pot). Great way to start the day. Runs a VERY close second to my favorite breakfast place in Estes.

I agree with Marvman...this was a great breakfast place! My hubby and I shared one yummy blueberry pancake (trust me, they're about equal to 3 or 4 average sized ones!) and a Colorado Scramble with bacon on the side, and we were full! We were just there Oct. 11, and it was seriously busy. We lucked into a parking spot, but saw a line of people waiting that went just outside the door...can't imagine what it would be like in summer! I had written this place down as one to try based on the above review (thanks!!!), so we weren't intimidated by the wait if it was that good. As it turned out, they told us it'd be 10 minutes, and I don't think we even waited THAT long. The nice folks waiting told us to be sure and go in and put our name down when we got there, so we did the same and passed it down. It was definitely worth the wait!

Our family vacationed in Estes Park and RMNP over the 4th of July 2008. We had breakfast at the EGG&I. Everything about the meal was really great, including fast service during the rush hour. Really awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Uncle Chester had that table saw accident back in 92, or it would have been six.
