Review Product Information ::
  • We stayed in cabin # 14 "Wildflower". We had beautiful mountain views, elk meandering down the mountainside right outside our deck. Wonderful log furniture and comfortable sleeping. Not too rustic and not too fancy. Some cabins have thier own private hot tub. The Wildflower has a hot tub tucked in to the rocks on a private side deck.
Product Review ::
Mountain cabins one mile from RMNP on Hwy 36. 1.5 miles west of downtown Estes Park. Sixteen mountain peaks can be seen from cabins and across the street from the Big Thompson river.

Cleanliness (4.0 stars) The cabin was clean and comfortable. Just like home except there was an outstanding view.

Type of accomodations (4.0 stars) Our cabin was two bedrooms and we had two futons downstairs. It could easily sleep 7 people comfortably. They have cabins ranging from 1 bedrooms to 3 bedrooms.

Friendliness of staff (4.0 stars) We didn't have too much contact with the staff except for checking in but in reading the guest book in our cabin previous vacationers had only good things to say about the people that run the cottages.

Knowledgeable staff (4.0 stars) see above

Amenities (4.0 stars) I see the interior of the cabin and kitchen/sleeping facilites as an amenity and these were great. The hot tub was great also but with the RMNP almost at your doorstep you don't need a pool or game room. We did have two TV's both with VCR and DVD players. I noticed while checking in that there were a lot of movies you could check out.

Location (5 stars) We were less than a mile to the entrance of the RMNP! We had views galore. Downtown Estes Park was just 1.5 miles if we wanted to go shopping. I found the location to be secluded yet still close to shopping/hiking etc.

Rates (4.5 stars) We stayed right before the peak season so our rates were great. I think for what you get in the cabin and outside surrounding areas that I would be willing to pay the extra cost during peak season.

Activities (4.5 stars) I guess it depends on what you want to do while in Estes Park. If you want to hike, fish, take some scenic drives, shop, eat, relax, hot tub, watch wildlife, take photographs, then this is a perfect place to stay.

Overall rating (4.0 stars) I have stayed in many cabins on prior vacations whether at Estes Park or somewhere else. Most these cabins have been very "rustic" and very "costly". The cabins at LazyRCottages are neither rustic or costly. I thing the location is just perfect and views were fantastic. Our family will be sure to stay there on our next trip to Estes Park.
