What a great set of pictures. I, too, found the dog tags a wonderful way to remember a loved one.

The Calypso Cascades are one of my very favorite spots in the park. There is something about all that water thundering down the mountainside that captivates me.

Great report and photos...got to do this hike this year! Is it usually the case that this hike is "warmer" than other places in the park, or was it just a really warm day for you guys? Would this hike be ok in the afternoon instead of the morning?

When I did this hike last August, I didn't find it any warmer than the other hikes I did. I took all day and went a bit farther (not to mention stopped every 3 steps to take pictures - really must find time to get the virtual hike worked up.) All in all, I'd definitely rate it a must-do hike!
