Actually, this is one of the easiest border crossings I've ever done. We are used to 6-10 hour border crossings and on at least one occasion we were held with a group of others at gunpoint for six hours by border control. We've lots of stories of border crossings, but none from this one. In fact, if you get there before they open you can drive right through which is what I usually do. I can sometimes go months without having to show my park pass. laugh.gif

I had heard that you can buy your way across. So it's true!
I love the perspective of this one. A really cool idea for a shot.

Yes, the "border" of the mountains proved a much more difficult crossing for folks in the past, didn't it? Your title is clever in multiple levels...and the photo is beautiful, too! caribou.gif

That is SO awesome! I love photos that show that kind of perspective!

It's so nice to have you back here Eirk :) I hope it was a wonderful homecoming, and I bet it felt great getting back into those mountains with your camera! Yay for lucky us :)

Starting this week Dad will be manning that very border crossing. I will make sure he knows to be on the look out for the Malok! What a view! No wonder I am so envious of Dad's work environment. Can you imagine turning around and seeing that while working? Wow!

That will all change when they put the National Guard in place.
