My first hike at RMNP was also to Emerald Lake with my husband and son in 1990, and we, too, were amazed when we looked with our binoculars and saw people climbing way up there. It's so cool to know someone who actually did it and read his story first-hand.

My hat is off to you guys for doing these kinds of climbs, and also for taking all the pictures and video on the way to share with the rest of of us. I'll probably never do that climb or any others like it, but I felt like I went along for the ride this morning.

Beautiful and well written trip report as usual!!! You really have a flair for this. One question though. I always get confused as to which is the tail and which is the tooth. Any chance for clarification? Thanks!
