Michael, that is a great trip report and group of pictures.

My first hike at RMNP was also to Emerald Lake with my husband and son in 1990, and we, too, were amazed when we looked with our binoculars and saw people climbing way up there. It's so cool to know someone who actually did it and read his story first-hand.

What a treat on a dreary Sunday morning in Illinois... Thanks for the great movie.

My hat is off to you guys for doing these kinds of climbs, and also for taking all the pictures and video on the way to share with the rest of of us. I'll probably never do that climb or any others like it, but I felt like I went along for the ride this morning.

Thanks Smudge and Andy

Michael,

Beautiful and well written trip report as usual!!! You really have a flair for this. One question though. I always get confused as to which is the tail and which is the tooth. Any chance for clarification? Thanks!

Thanks for sharing a great trip report and awesome pictures.

Sandy, send some of your TX heat our way. It has been cold and gloomy in Iowa for several days now.
