BTW, rather dark and forboding looking on top of Long's right now. The weatherchannel is saying snow in Estes Park tomorrow and Wednesday. I sure hope TRR is open by Thursday.

By the way, there was a young man ranger leading a tour (just ask, that's what they're there for) of folks entering as I was ready to leave. They were going frame by frame down the bronze relief "pictures" that act as the entrance to the memorial area...you could tell he really liked his job, and loved WWII history. He wasn't saying "and here you see yada yada yada..." but was rather telling stories about what was happening in the pictures, why that was an important representation of the war, etc. with lots of enthusiasm and intelligence. The crowd was hanging on his words...
