If you're having any problems with the upload let me know. Most likely if there is any trouble it is likely due to the file size of the image upload. If you need any pictures resized email them to me and I'll resize them to the allowable size for this forum and then I'll email back the resized picture(s) for you to post here.

Maximum file size for uploads is 90kb.

Also try to keep the dimensions of the photos around 600 pixels wide. If your pictures are too wide it could cause the topic threads to display improperly.

Not right now. I'll tell ya what though. I'll put this in as a suggestion for a feature in a future release of the Gallery software. The makers of the software are pretty good about suggestions like that.

Excuse me while I express my ignorance. huh.gif When I have posted pictures, they appear as a thumbnail in the message and open a new window when clicked. How do you get pictures to appear like Malok, John, Mike, etc. where they show up entirely as part of the message? Do I need to have them on my own website and link to them? I realize this has probably been discussed in the past, but I haven't found a thread, yet. Can someone direct me to a primer on posting photos? photo.gif Thanks. smile1.gif

You need to get on a site that will host your photos and when you post just click image and link it there via copy/paste.

I use Photobucket. It's free

I use Photobucket also. Works great! Just copy the "IMG" link and then paste in in a forum post and the picture appears!

Thanks, John. Do you resize the pics to 600 or 800 pixels wide before uploading to Photobucket or does photobucket do that automatically? I see that they do compress the file size, but I haven't checked on what that does to the dimensions of the photo.

Help! I've been trying to figure out how to post photos. Although I have read all the different "help" screens, it still looks like my picture does not show up in the post.

Here's what I'm doing. I export a photo from my iphoto library to the desktop. I also resize the photo to meet the requirements. Then I hit "add file" and choose the photo. Then I hit "add this attachment." I then get back a message saying I have used 62.68 attachment space. So everything looks good so far. Then I hit "preview post" and get the message I plan to post along with [attachment=2357:attachment]. Shouldn't I see the picture when I preview the post?

Is the problem my Mac computer or am I just photo posting challenged?

I don't believe attachments are supposed to show up in preview mode. (At least, they don't for me, but they show up just fine in the actual post.)

Have you tried going ahead and posting it anyway?
