I just got a thank you letter from Rocky Mountain National Park. I'll retype it for you all to see....

"Dear Mr. Deschane:

Thank you for your generous donation of $425.78 to the Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) Search and Rescue fund in honor of RMNP Ranger Jeff Christensen. We are privileged that the community at RMNPforums.com thought to honor Jeff through this donation.

The money deposited in this fund will purchase essential equipment and supplies used in the aid of others through our search and rescue efforts. An established committee of Park field personnel will prioritize the expenditure of these donations to best serve mission needs. With the help of your donation we will be able to replenish many needed items.

Thank you for RMNPforums.com's considerate support of our Search and Rescue program and its efforts to assist others.

Sincerely,
Mark Magnuson
Chief Ranger
"

And I would also like to thank all of you who contributed to this memorial of Ranger Jeff Christensen. You guys are great yup.gif

I talked to them back in January and they were getting ready to send it out. I wondered back then in January if they had even received the check as it had not cleared through our account yet. I'm glad they've 'officially' received it.

Definitely, now I'd like to beg y'all to pitch in a little or a lot (whatever you can do) to 'Pokes Summit For Someone charity. I'd like to help 'Poke out with this. It's a great way to help out kids.....a great mentoring program. Please folks, we can all manage something to pitch in, right? Donate via the link in this post or look at the top of the forums, or on the main page of this site for the 'summit for someone' link. We did good last year.....let's do good again!

But back to the topic....thanks to everyone for honoring Ranger Jeff Christensen the way we did.
