Riverwood is located on Fall River Lane on Fall River

We've stayed at quite a few places in Estes, but once we found Riverwood, we never really wanted to stay anywhere else (until we stayed at McGregor this winter, which was also a favorite). Riverwood is modern, spacious, decorated in Rocky Mountain style, and the people are as friendly as they come! You can rent a 2-bedroom condo, but they will close off one of the bedrooms and charge you a one-bedroom rate.

The Phase II's are 2-story loft type condo's, and although you can stand on your balcony and look right over the river, you aren't actually ON the river unless you stay in one of the one-story Phase I's. We prefer the Phase I's because they are bigger (I think they are about 1,100 feet total), and because right outside your door is the Fall River. Both condos have huge jaccuzi tubs in the rooms -- which is wonderful after a long day of hiking.

But what gives Riverwood the edge for us -- especially for long stays -- is that they have a washer and dryer in every room. It's so nice to be able to pack light, and throw your stuff in the washer at the end of the day. Plus, when you go home, everything's clean, so you don't have loads and loads of laundry to do. Riverwood is definitely a 5-star!!
