Whispering pines is located on highway 34 three miles from Estes Park. The property is a collection of cottages split up into 16 units. There is a playground and a hot tub.

Jenny and I stayed here with our neighbors in 2003. The cottage was clean and had a 1950's feel to it. The owners have done a good job keeping if from feeling like your grandma's house though.

The owners were very nice people. And I should add that it was my impression that it was a genuine nice as opposed to business face nice. They were helpful with any questions and service we needed.

They have a playground and a hot tub on the property. It's proximity to Estes Park will get you to go-cart rides and other fun to be had in Estes Park.

The rates seem to be fair and at the time of this writing (Feb. 2006), they range from $80 - $130 per night. In my opinion those are fair rates for what they offer.

I would recommend that you stay as far away from highway 34 as possible. This was our biggest complaint as we had to keep our windows open through the night due to the heat during the day. The road noise is significant.
The Pros:

-Close to Estes Park
-Hot tub
-Playground
-affordable rates

The Cons:

-located right off busy roadside

Overall rating: 3 Stars - Average
