Hey guys,

I found another cool picture of snow and the Alpine Visitor Center from the park's website (boy, the work I get done during class time!! jester.gif )

Covered in Snow

Enjoy!!!

And if you're interested, Glacier National Park has some really cool pictures of them plowing Going to the Sun road in the late spring. A fairly harrowing experience, I imagine. The pictures are cool!

That's hiking weather...put on the balaclava and go for it.

(Ever noticed we have the same favorite hike, misssilly? Great minds think alike...)

Thanks for the Alpine picture, Missilly. It is pretty amazing, huh? I have looked at the pictures from Glacier and the plowing efforts every year. Harrowing?? They need to be paid some serious $$ to do that job, yikes................

Wow, that is a HUGE amount of snow! I have yet to make it up to Mt. Baker since the latest snowfall. Baker picked up another 70 inches of snow last week. The weather has cleared there so I plan to make it up there soon to take some pics.

Do you suppose anyone from the Park Service goes up there during Winter for any reason?

Misssilly

Thanks for the link to Glacier pictures. On top of all the great winter/snow pictures, there's a ton of all-season pics.. I sure would like to see that place myself.

Wow Jen! That is amazing! I've never seen a picture like that where the snow is blowing and it looks so blustery. I've seen photos of snow over the roof but it was all still and quiet. That looks reeeeealllly cool!

You got a little Rocky Mountain fever during class tho?????? Can't say as I blame you. I'm even looking out my little window at work and day dreaming about the Rockies while I look at a parking lot. Being as close as you are. . .I don't think I'd EVER get anythign done!

Thanks for showing that to us!
