I've been enjoying the various & sundry webcams (watching Old Faithful erupt is really cool!) but have come to realize that there's a very important RMNP vantage point that's being overlooked. I think we need to start collecting right away so we can get one up and running to rectify this critical oversight!

There are plenty of choices to view over on the east side - but the west side isn't getting nearly enough airtime. We can fix this, if we just all chip in together! I've taken the liberty posting a sample photo of what our camera should focus on. Now, this isn't the exact placement or the correct angle (and, of course, it's not realtime, either.) But I ask you - can you even believe nobody's thought of this before!?! So whatta ya say - do we make this thing happen?

Well, Marty and his fine staff at Grand Lake Chocolates would have to get high visibility in the webcam display. That would be awesome to pull that off!!

I'd be all for it if we could get more of the mountains in the background somehow (even though this is looking away from the park). Otherwise, this webcam is just torture without being able to taste the maltball fudge.

Well, of course there needs to be a GLC webcam! But, like 'poke noted, it could be worse WITH the camera than without it. "What to do, what to do?"
