From this point on (9-12-08) the forums are set up to 'grab' all news items from the rmnpguide.com site and will display them here as if they were actually posted here. You must let me know in advance that you'd like to submit content, i.e. a news article as well as any other content, so that I can give you the proper permissions to post content there. Topic: A succinct title that sums up the story and good enough to draw attention

Body/Actual post: Summarize the story in your own words. Keep in mind that it is against copyright law, and very naughty, to just copy and paste news articles.

Give credit back to the news source that you got the news from. Make it look like the following (with the source given a hyperlink like the following example)...

Source: Mountain Goat Daily News

And finally, unless you've got an auto signature, don't sign your name or anything else after the 'Source: example' listing. This is just to keep these news posts looking clean.

REMEMBER, this is only for the first post for each topic in this forum, i.e. the news forum. This does NOT apply to other forums, or posts after the first post in the 'News" forum. Make sense?

Also, let's do more than just put a link to the news article. Summarize the story in your own words. It's better content that way.

Hey forums peeps, I really really really really beg y'all to do a favor to the forums. The favor is to put more than a link to another article. We need to have the forums supply information as well as pass people along to more thorough sources when necessary. So I beg you to post more than just a link to a different news source when y'all post a news item. Read the article and paraphrase it in your own words. Then end the post with a link to the source where you got it from. I appreciate the help in posting news items here but it really helps out the forums for a complete summary to be done (search engines and visitors like it better this way)
