DCM -- Weather here in Lafayette will be just fine. Wish I could say the same for those in Mississippi.

ProfHall -- The name of my alma mater is a really long story that you don't want to hear (trust me). However, ULaLa is considered a taunt. The UL message boards have grown weary on the topic (LOL!).

Oh, I know just what you mean, and I kind of thought that MAY be the case when the LSU guy told me yesterday. I'm at UALR, which is not "the" University of Arkansas, as many will be quick to tell you. Those folks often refer to this campus as "Youler" while Hogtown is just "the university." And, while in grad school in Bloomington at Indiana University, I taught a class or two up in Indianapolis at the "co-branded" university there (shared with Purdue)...it's title is IUPUI for Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis. But of course, it was called "ooie-pooie." I won't go any further on this point... :P
