I had some time to myself one morning while the girls were taking it easy at the condo. I figured I'd find the "trailhead" (there's no official trail) and check out the hike before bringing my daughter along.
This was a fun hike. It's a tiny bit of route finding and some rock hopping, but mostly just a walk up the rocky formation. The mountain forms the western border of downtown Estes and provides a new perspective on the town.
Once to the top, I immediately knew my daughter would enjoy this one. I spent a little time relaxing, and then headed down to go back home.
Within a couple hours I was doing it again.
This is a great warm-up, time filler, or family adventure spot.

The backpack is getting full of trail tags.....
