I don't normally do this, but I'm posting this here to ask for your votes. I'm not really much for contests, but one of the podcasts I listen to just kicked off a photo contest with the prize being a spiffy new iPad, so I just had to give it a shot. It's one of the podcasts published by the HowStuffWorks website called Stuff to Blow Your Mind. It's one of those 'vote once a day' contests, and I figured this would be a great place to drum up a little support. The contest runs through June 1, but I promise not to bump this thread TOO much in the interim.
I've actually got a bit of a friendly rivalry going with one of my Facebook friends, and I'm several votes behind her because she has a multi-day head start on me. Curses!
Here's a link to my entry, titled "Supercell." Just click on the orange "Blew My Mind" button to vote. That's all there is to it!
It's one of my older shots, and not the most technically proficient, but there's just something about it that always intrigued me. It was taken from the back deck at my dad's place back in 2007. It's a long exposure of a supercell just northeast of Bennington, KS. The part that I can't get over is how the crystal clear starry skies on the left contrast with the violent storm on the right. The pic on the site for voting is pretty tiny, so here's a larger version. (That evergreen tree is blurry because of the wind, not my shoddy focusing technique.)

So remember, vote early and vote often! Thank you for your support!
