Hi Everyone. I have been a long time lurker of the RMNP forums and I just signed up so I wanted to say hi. Everyone is such a friendly group around here that I wanted to contribute what I could to the community. I typically take a trip to the park almost every year for a week in September just to do some hiking and relax. I think that this year I might try and get to the park a little earlier in the season and try to summit Longs Peak so I might be creating a few posts regarding that topic as I get closer to pinning down a time. Thanks for allowing me to be part of your forum! :)

Welcome! If your Septembers in Rocky have been before the aspen/elk madness, you've seen the park at one of its most relaxing times. The crowds are not so bad as earlier and later, and the weather is generally wonderful. I think as you look around here and ask questions, you'll find all sorts of help with your Longs aspirations. I have done quite a few hikes in the park. The first year I was there I did the Nymph/Dream/Emerald hike as well as Bierstadt, Alberta Falls, and Flattop Mountain. Since then I've been the Mills Lake, Estes Cone, Hallett Peak, Cub Lake, Chasm Lake, and probably a few others Im forgetting at the moment. I think that either Hallett Peak or Chasm Lake were my favorites.Welcome. What hikes have you done on your previous trips?
