Today, at around 12:30 p.m., park dispatch received a cell phone call indicating a man had taken an approximate 10-foot fall near Alberta Falls in Rocky Mountain National Park. He suffered numerous traumatic injuries. Park rangers and park medics arrived on scene and provided advanced medical care. Alberta Falls is roughly one mile from the Glacier Gorge Trailhead. The 39-year-old man from Indiana was carried in a litter to Bear Lake Road where he was transferred to an ambulance with Estes Park Medical Center. The man was then taken by ambulance to Glacier Basin Campground where an air ambulance from North Colorado Med Evac flew him at 3:45 p.m. to Medical Center of the Rockies.
No further information will be released at this time.

Hope he is OK. Wonder if that was the air ambulance someone saw on Glacier Basin webcam yesterday.

I saved that picture at 3:48 central which should mean 2:48 Mountain time. That would fit the time frame.

well there were two birds in the area at the same time.. North Colorado Med Evac did the medical air flight, and Air LInk at Medical Center of the Rockies, who was doing a show and tell..
Along a 10 mile radius sweep there are 4 medical helicopters standing ready to do wallet ectomies..
