This is very thoughtful John. What a great idea. I echo everyone else who have said "get well". Hopefully everything is on the mend now and I too will say a prayer or two for you as well. Barb, it is obvious you have a lot of folks pulling for you and are lending you the encouragment you will need to fully recoup. Once this is all behind you I think we would all be interested in learning from your experience on how you survived, what you did right and perhaps what we should look out for when out in the wild.

you all are making me cry...

i have so much i want to express to you. my hands are severely frostbitten, and i expect to lose 4-5 finger tips. my bandaged hand is attached to a pencil so that i can poke my keyboard. you cannot know how deeply, very deeply, my heart has been touched by all your expressions of care. when i am able to type more efficiently i want to tell you more. how is it that i have fallen in love with a group of people i have never met? i read all your postings, enjoy every photo, love the laughs, and learn alot. i cannot believe i will have to miss the stomp... terribly disappointed in that. but i'm hoping i will be strong enough to walk to the end of the bear lake parking lot, to stand and meet many of you before you head out and up the trail. what an incredible privilege to be getting to know such a precious bunch of folks. wow. i am humbled. i'll bend your ear again when i am able. THANK YOU!!!

I've never been so glad to see a post before in my life! So good to see you posting again. And it will be WONDERFUL if you can meet us at Bear Lake in a little less than 2 weeks! And if you are able, come to our GTG that night at Rodeway Inn. But whatever you can do, we will be so glad and thankful to see you! Take care, our friend!
