What's your favorite flower in RMNP ?

Personally, Columbines rank down towards the bottom of my list.

My favorite is the Alpine Bluebell. Not only is it beautiful, reflecting the deep blue of the skies, but it's the habitat that they only grow in that makes them special.

My favorites are these pink beauties that look kind of like indian paintbrush, but they are more compact, & are a gorgeous vivid pink. They also come in yellow - but I tend to notice the yellow ones at higher altitudes. My second favorite are also pink, but more redish, & I like all the green below the bloom.

Although I love all the flowers in RMNP, my favorite is the Alpine Sunflower. This pic was taken on the Mt. Ida Trail. We've only hiked to Mt. Ida once, but we often hike up above tree line on that trail because it offers such magnificent views.
