How close to the summit was this? When Scott O & I did our Mt. Wuh loop we contemplated summiting Joe Mills on our way back to the Flattop trail & the northern side of it looked pretty easy going. We decided to skirt it instead since the weather was turning, & I noticed the southern slope of it looked pretty steep. Is it actually a climb to the top like it looks? (Or were you ever actually there in the first place? :lol2: ) Here's a couple of pics I took of it. The first is from point 10,574, & the second is from the ridge west of Mt. Wuh.

I summitted something but wasn't sure it was the real summit so I traversed and summitted again. There was one more possibility but didn't have time for that. The first bump was nearest Odessa lake and it was an easy class 3 scramble for the last 15 feet. The second bump was class 2. If you head up from Sourdough camp it's really just walking uphill. Great views from the top (especially if the weather is nicer than on my hike). There is more in my trip report from last June.
