The classifieds system is now available to everyone. If you have questions, ask. Spread the word to anyone that may find this useful to sell, exchange or find outdoor gear, photography gear, or appropriate miscellaneous items.

I couldn't see any way to add an ad on my main classifieds page. How does one do that?

I'll go and make sure the permissions are set right but you should be seeing a button at the top right that says "add an advert".

I don't have that button so maybe it's a permissions thing. No hurry though.

I decided to test out adding a listing, and it worked fine. The key seemed to be hovering over Features on the menu bar and then selecting classifieds.

By the way, my test ad is legit, so please feel free to order one!

Questions - let's say I'm stupid enough to want to trade my really nice SLR for your less desirable point and shoot. How does one process the transaction?

Okay, I may have jumped ahead of where you're at, Jo. The "Add an Advert" button is within the classifieds page. Here is a link to it - http://www.rmnpforum...ms/classifieds/

I'm thinking you weren't finding that link? It is under the "Features" link (a dropdown menu when you click on "Features"). Let me know if that solves it now.

The transaction method is up to the buyer and seller. It's nothing that's facilitated by the forums. The forums only provides the medium to sell the item. It's up to the buyer and seller to choose the avenue of payment, i.e. paypal, etc.

Thanks Aaron! That fixed it. I was clicking on the 'classifieds' link on the side bar instead of using the Features drop down. Now I can see everything - yay!

So in the ad itself we need to put directions on how to order or contact the advertiser?
