Many folks are arriving in Estes Park on the 7th or 8th to get acclimated and maybe plan a few warm-up stomps before the big one.
Although you can stay anywhere you choose, many of us will be staying at McGregor Mountain Lodge. http://www.mcgregormountainlodge.com/
Michael always has snowshoes and poles available for his guests if you need them. He still has some cabins open for that time period, but they are beginning to fill up fast so make your reservations if you plan to stay there, and tell them when you call that you are with RMNP Forums for a discount! (Thanks, Michael!)
There are also many mountain shops in Estes Park that rent gear.
Update
If you want to hike to the Igloo Village on Thursday or Friday to hang out or help build an igloo, JP Kole will be leading the group on Thursday at 8 AM, and Ski Bud Frank is leading on Friday. Be at the Bear Lake parking lot at designated times to meet them.
I believe everyone who is spending the night has already coordinated with Ed and plans are set.
Warm-Up Hikes:
We are all still deciding on this. Some of us (like me) want to wait until we get there and know the weather and visibility conditions before we commit. Please check the spreadsheet right up to the last minute for planning.
We will be meeting at the various trailheads at 9 AM for warm-ups. Also, if one way hikes are happening, we will have to do some car shuttling that morning so be sure and get there a little early for these last minute arrangements.

THE MAIN EVENT - SATURDAY STOMP
JP Kole will be leading the group to Lake Haiyaha. We are to meet at the Bear Lake Parking Lot at 8 AM! Please be there early to put on gear and be ready to hit the trail by 8.
Please bring a cup of some kind that will hold a hot beverage, as High Plains Medic and Barb are going to have an aid station set up along the way to warm and revive us. If you want some hot tea, bring your cup!
GTG:
The Saturday Night Stomp GTG will be at the Rodeway Inn from 6-9 PM. The price will be $8.95 per person, $4.95 for children 9 and under. This includes salad, all you can eat pizza, beverage and dessert choices. Can't beat that!
Also, if anyone wants to stay at the Rodeway Inn for the stomp, the manager has offered a special rate. Just mention that you are with the group that is renting the banquet room on Sat, March 10th. http://www.estesrodewayinn.com/
Lori Smith will be calling in the final number very soon, so please make sure you are listed on the spreadsheet if you plan to attend the GTG.
