I got an email to day from Rocky Mountain Nature Association about a private tour of the Estes Park Museum, reprinted below.

"Join Estes Park Museum staff for a guided tour of the exhibit Tracks in Time. Special tours for Rocky Mountain Nature Association members only will take place on Wednesday, January 18 from 10:00 -11:30 a.m. and an identical tour will be offered on Saturday, January 21 from 2:00-3:30 p.m. The Curator will guide visitors through the Main Gallery and feature objects from the Vault not normally on display for the public to see. Cost is $8 per person that can be paid for in cash or check the day of the tour. Participants will receive credit for $3.00 off of an Estes Park Museum sponsored event in 2012. Space is limited, contact Alicia Mittelman Curator of Education/Collections at 970-577-3762 to register for the tour. The Museum is located at 200 Fourth Street on the corner of Highway 36 near the lake and fairgrounds."

Besides letting any forums folk who may be in town on those dates know about this opportunity, I'm using this as an excuse to plug RMNA. These fine folks, in cooperation with the National Parks Service, have donated a ton of time and money on improvements to Rocky Mountain National Park. If you love the park and are not already a member, you need to get right on over to RMNA's website and join. (If that's not incentive enough, you also get a discount on merchandise purchased at the Visitors Centers.)

^^ As another RMNA member, I second this. And if you want to get your hands dirty, RMNA has opportunities to do trail fix-up work. HPH
