Actually, Steve & I have made all our trips to Rocky from our home in St. Louis, Missouri. We just moved to Maryland in 2004. So, no long-distance record for us. However, I did fly into St. Louis this past summer where Jen (Misssilly) met me, and then we drove to Colorado-Fort Collins & EP-in her truck, then back to St. Louis and a flight back here. That was a long trip, and maybe a record of sorts. Steve & I are sort of planning a trip to Rocky for October, but it is very tentative right now.

I think someone needs to go over the meaning of "group hike" with him again.

Mud and their close relatives the musk turtles (also known as stinkpots), can secrete a foul smelling fluid from their anal scent glands.
The above is also from Slowpoke's link. Lookout Michiganhiker. It could be a very long 18 hours.
Hey EPJunkie - how many hours from Marlette, "the heart of the thumb?"

Well we made it! The wedding was great. Held at the Denver Botanical Gardens and the weather was perfect. We arrived in EP last night. I'll post more in the vacation report area.
(and Michigan State beat Notre Dame, who could ask for a better weekend!)

Yep, that one brought a smile to me as well...I don't really care that it was MSU, just that ND came up a loser. So for this week, I was both a FSU and MSU supporter.
Glad the trip and wedding went well, too!

Boo hoo we leave for home today. We're going to do a quick hike out of Glacier Gorge, see Sprague Lake, have lunch at the Baldpate Inn, and then hit the highway. I'll do a vacation report when we get home.
