Tomorrow night I will pillow my head on Planet Romonapa! And I'll be there all week!

For the third year I have gathered a cadre of pastors and theologians for a Faith & Culture Conference that we hold at St. Malo.

It would be a lot easier for me to host the conference in St. Joseph, but....

It's Planet Romonapa!

Here is one of Erik Stensland's photos of St. Malo.

Erik says of this photo: This morning I was late for work. I just managed to jump out of the car and capture this shot seconds before the light died. Saint Catherine on the Saint Malo Retreat Center is beautiful any time of the year, but especially in the autumn with all the great colors. On this morning Mount Meeker was glowing in dramatic storm light.

We've arrived.

It's so quiet...I can hear myself think.

It's so peaceful...antioxidant for the soul.

(Miroslav Volf would like me to take him on a hike. Oh, I can do that!)

Yes, that is the essence of Planet Romonapa.

Excellent.

Here's what I automatically think as soon as I see that front range...

O Lord our LORD how majestic is your name in all the earth!

Have a wonderful time!

Today I took Miroslav Volf -- one of the most significant and respected theologians in the world -- on a hike to Chasm Lake. That is one of the cooler things I've done.

Miroslav loved the hike! Now he wants to bring his wife to Planet Romonapa. I think I made a convert.

What a great day you two must have had with the companionship and Planet Romonapa. Good going.

It really was good, Ed. Thanks.

Today I took a friend on the Seven Lake Tour.

That's a pretty long hike, you know. I required a steak McGregor at Twins Owls to recover.
