I prefer goose, myself, it's a little greasy but that grease is what soaks in the smoke flavor.

Oh you zany kids!!!
I'm trying to figure out whether Finch Lake or Bluebird Lake is a more worthy destination.
But the other suggestions (particularly goose) are fantastic, too!

Bluebird Lake hands down. The hike itself is way prettier, and the destination lake is tops. Also, you can always extend an go to Junco or Pipit and beyond....
Take it from someone who's done Wild Basin..... Bluebird. Too bad you didn't go when Kristin was there. She would have taken you places.
