I was glad we were able to park at Glacier Gorge trailhead. It had been full every other day we had driven by it.
As we started down the trail it was obvious how much water was running. The light was streaming through the trees and it was a glorious morning.

I couldn't wait to see Alberta Falls. I figured it would be running very full. As we got there a painter was setting up his easel. I wanted him to still be there at the end of the day so I could see his painting.
I took one shot what that pesky tree in the picture.

And moved to get it without the tree. I should carry a tripod. It is sometimes hard to hold the camera still with those slow shutter speeds.

As we continued down the trail we saw a bit of activity around this bush (a serviceberry or viburnum, maybe?)

This one is for John. The Honey Tree has never looked better.

Mills lake was its beautiful serene self.

I always like to take a shot looking the other way, as well.

After resting at the lake for a while we decided we would go on to the Loch. My dad had been there, but many years ago. So, at the junction, we turned to go up. Periodically, on the trial you can hear water falling. I think some of these are casual falls that come from snowmelt. This is a rather ethereal one we saw.

We came to a small snowfield before arriving at the Loch. It was easily crossed, but there was evidence of folks who had post holed recently.
