Becky posted some pictures from our July 28 Forum Get Together, but I'll add my two cents worth. First, I'll just say that the Forum Get Togethers are definitely one of the highlights of any trip to RMNP. This was a small one, but it was still good to see our forum friends. We met at Hidden Valley since there is a nice shelter there and that takes the element of "What If It Rains?" out of the equation. Of course, everyone had their cameras out. I caught this one and only shot of Becky while she was "shooting" me!

It was a privilege to meet Becky's parents, Bruce and Janelle. Notice that everyone had the same idea when it came to bringing food to share, lots of cookies, but only Melva's were "cabin baked!"

I really appreciate that fact that Ed always comes over from Lyons for our GTGs. It's fun to see him and hear about his latest expeditions into the hills. Ken and I lingered after everyone else and got a little extra chat time. We especially enjoyed hearing a little more about his "Icebox" operation. That's Becky J. behind Ed and to the left.

It was a pleasure to meet Lynette and her husband, Dave. That's them to Ken's left and Melva and Dennis are to his right.

What better way to end a day in the park than with friends from the forum. Until next time, friends!

That looks like a really nice setting for a forums gathering. I noticed people were wearing jackets or sweatshirts--hard to believe it's actually that cool in some parts of the country when it's been so hot here in the midwest.

Thanks for sharing the gathering with those of us who could not be there.

What really happens when you take a picture of someone taking a picture? Does the universe really fold in on itself and time come to a standstill for that one moment when the shutter clicks? Huh?
