They've done a lot of tree removal for safety purposes around the lake, so there are many stacks of wood like this around the lake. We saw lots of these stacks along the roads and picnic areas on the west side of the park too.

After spending some time at Sprague and visiting with a nice family from the Chicago area, it was nearly noon so we headed back to MP to set up camp. The campsite was wonderful! It didn't have views of Moraine Park, but is was right next to a pretty meadow, pretty private, and right across from a brand new bathroom building! Dennis and Melva were almost our neighbors for one night. Their campsite was quite close to ours and after we set up camp, we walked over and visited Melva. Dennis was out hiking for the day. Here's our site - 139 in Loop A.

We relaxed at the campsite for the rest of the afternoon and made an easy meal. After we were done eating, Dennis and Melva stopped by for a short visit. Then we decided we would head up to Bear Lake and hang out for awhile.

What a peaceful end to the day. Our agenda for the next day was a hike to Bridal Veil Fall. We heard the falls were running full and that the flowers were awesome! It wouldn't disappoint.
