We're doing a little last minute planning and are wondering if anyone knows if the Crater is open this year. In the past we have called the ranger station to check, but we just decided to hike it tomorrow and are planning on leaving well before the entrance stations are open. Any word on the status? Thanks!

I think I read on the park facebook page, or maybe the NPS website, that it will open on 8/15.
