I was wondering today if any celebrities are ever spotted in Estes or RMNP. Have any of you ever seen someone famous in town or in the park?

The only celeb I've met there was the local celebrity Nick Molle (owner of EPTV channel 8 and many RMNP documentaries)... My buddy Dave and I are big fans, so we went to the EPTV studios this last trip and he was there!! We were so "starstruck" neither one of us got a pic... But I did score one of his new "Rivers of the Rockies" docs on Blu-ray! Not even shrink-wrapped yet! Nick is the REAL DEAL. Genuinely great guy...

THE James Drury?

(If so, it's a little spooky that you would mention him, as I just started rereading "The Virginian" last night.)

I'm convinced we hiked the same trail at the same time as Michael Chicklis (sp?), but Allen tells me I'm crazy.

Last year I brought Eugene Peterson to Planet Romonapa and introduced him to all my mountain friends. This year I'll do the same for Miroslav Volf. They are both world renowned theologians and bestselling authors, if not exactly celebrities.

I have heard that Tim Allen, of Home Improvement fame, owns a cabin in Grand Lake. And no, I have never actually seen him there, so I cannot comment on the validity firsthand. He did grow up in Denver though.
