I suppose I have to go back up there now. I wonder if point 11376 is easy to climb.

Well, it's downhill from the other ones, except for the uphill part .:wink2: HPH

According to one report I read on Twin Sisters ,they also speak of The Craggs and South Sister. They call it (I believe unofficially named as Twin Sister Mountain) South Sister to be less confusing. They have hiked "mostly" straight south of the West Twin Sister and have taken a picture of the marker denoting the triangulation of the peak.

Fox :smile1: :wink2: :peace:

Just a little more reading on the subject by using Google and a little investigation. As I said before - nothing in stone (so to speak) but interesting just the same. :smile1:

Think You Folks have it pegged as to the "look" form the direction that Dr. Cloud is speaking of. :yup:

Wow, who would have thought that my little trip report would start all this discussion. Thats why I like the boards. You never know which direction the subject will go in.

Have a great hiking weekend!!

I do believe this is from that general direction. It is approximately the view you'd have just west of Longmont on hwy 66:

oh, my.. from that angle they do look like... a certain part of the female anatomy. I will never be able to look at them the same way again.

Thanks, Ed -- That's the perfect perspective to show how the (topo-map) "Twin Sisters Peaks" are not what you see from the Plains. That "South Sister" (or whatever) is just too, well, south and far from the north one to match up with the "Peaks."

Now, if there were only a belly-button ring in that relatively bare spot this side of those two summits, well, we'd really have an image, wouldn't we? :smile1: HPH
