It was a great hike. The weather turned out so much better that I thought it would. Snow was deepest that I have ever seen it. My baskets come off my poles early and were lost in the deep snow somewhere. My poles were sinking to my hands so I turned them upside-down until we stopped at Beautiful Lake Marv where Ed cut some small branches and I fastened them into a makeshift basket with medical tape. Ed is like MacGyver meets Jeremiah Johnson. First crutches for Rick and baskets for me. They lasted the rest of the day re-taping one of them once.
Here's some photos.

Walking across The Loch (first time for that)
Our nice secluded spot. We stayed there for about an hour. Bill says no one has ever stepped foot in this area before.
Nice pristine snow on the way back to the trailhead
