Seems odd that they would shut the doors, and still keep Rangers on duty to to ticket folks sneaking in. Then again, if you don't know where they are, you can't go in and rescue them when they get in trouble.
I'd rather just see it stay open, but that's beyond my control.

It looked like the Estes Park News, had an article about how the Larimer County Sheriff's office would provide a method for having it stay open..

And this raises the interesting question of what "closed" means in this context. Certainly, they'll stop letting cars in (and taking money for the privilege). But hikers, I'd think, would continue to have access. It's not like they can put up "no trespassing" signs everywhere. HPH
