I did a solo up Flattop Saturday, my wife's cousin was in town, and well, I am the third wheel when they are around. It was harder than I thought it was going to be... The snow on the east face of the mountain is all getting scoured out,

Corrected, it was Saturday, I think the altitude got to me..

That video really captured the conditions! It was 75 here and windy, but not that windy :rolleyes:

Wow! It was hard enough for me to get to Flattop on a nice day. I can't imagine me being up there in that wind! Thanks for showing me what it was like up there!

Your pole kinda reminds me of those "Wyoming Windsocks" , a chunk of drill stem pipe set in the ground with a log chain welded to it.......

The last mile or so from the last corner / home stretch to the top.. was just like the top.. been denied x 2 other attempts this winter,
