That was the day we were going to try and summit Flattop. Sounds like the winds may be brutal.

I'll be at the trailhead at 8:00 also on Thursday. I can point you in the direction of Beautiful Lake Marv if you tag along with me.

Hi John,

It's my pleasure! I love doing this for everyone! I'm glad I'm able to help everyone prepare and get through any "bad" weather that may happen.

Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.

Take care,
Weather :bee:

Hi Mark,

I am happy to do this for everyone. It brings me joy to be able to contribute to this great group of folks. I want you all to be safe from any bad weather that may pop up. It's hard to predict this particular weird weather pattern, considering these disturbances are not part of an organized system. The computer models are not in total agreement right now. The different elevations could all be experiencing something different at any given time ... can be a weather forecaster's nightmare. I love it though and am putting the puzzle together right now for my next forecast. I have passed my phone number on to Igloo Ed who will then be sharing it with anyone who needs to call me for additional weather information. No phone calls mean all is well.

Be safe and enjoy!

PS: Mark, I see you are from Otto, NC. I don't know where Otto is, but my wife's parents are from Winston Salem. She has other family spread across that area. We were there in the early 80's for a visit. What beautiful country that is! We went up Grandfather Mountain and visited Banner Elk. I absolutely loved the landscape in NC!

Take care,
Weather :bee:

Couldn't have had finer weather for our travels across the Plains today. I'm happy to hear that we'll see that we'll get some sun along with the snow and wind while we're in the park. Thanks for all of your updates, Bee.

This should be the last one unless this system stalls and brings more snow than expected. I am currently monitoring the weather pattern for today (Sunday) to make sure there will be no changes to this forecast.

Hope you all had a great time!

Take care,
Weather :bee:
