My cobbler in Estes Park, CO. This is one cool guy, who operates a specialized business of re-soling and repairing hiking and skiing boots. (Don't ever ask him to repair street shoes, as he is a specialist.) He also sells the best boot sole inserts in the world. I owe him a thousand hours of comfortable hiking in the Rocky Mountains. I highly recommend this one-of-a-kind craftsman.

He looks like a cobbler - and I mean that in the best possible way. Glad you found someone you recommend to others.

He's from a family of cobblers, previously in NYC. I'm working up a journalism story on this. I never had my own cobbler in Iowa. This guy has all the business he can handle from April to October. Want your favorite boots resoled? It's a three week wait. He replaces Vibram soles,. which have worn out. It's pretty nice to be able to keep your "broken in" uppers and get new soles.

Richard, can I assume you've been around EP for long enough to remember when Steve ran his retail store up above the curve in Moraine Ave?

And, absolutely, he's where you take that comfortable old pair of boots for new soles and whatever else they need. I had a pair of Vasques that I thought were dead and gone, but he resurrected them quite nicely, thank you. HPH
