Hi Vanessa! Welcome! I am in Fort Collins and work 3 - 12 hour shifts a week, so if you are ever up for a hike during the week....I am always looking for new hiking buddies!

Diane,

I would love to go hiking with you. I too am always looking for hiking buddies. I'm a teacher so I work during the week, but get to enjoy many days off that others don't get (MLK day, Presidents day...).

Vanessa,

If you are a beginning level snowshoer, there is a ranger led program at 12:30 PM on certain days.

Snowshoe Ecology Walk -Take a beginner level snowshoe tour with a ranger and explore the natural world of a subalpine forest. No previous experience needed.January 2March 27

Hiking on snowshoes is not difficult, but there are a few things to know to conserve energy and have fun. Participating in a snowshoe hike with other beginners will bolster your confidence.

Thank you for the link. I was planning on coming up to the Winterfest and learning to snowshoe on the 15th, but I like the idea of less people and learning sooner. I'll see if I can get scheduled for the ranger led tour.

Vanessa
