Yes, thanks for the update! This story has been an interesting one to follow. All too often, in situations like this, the rehabbed animal is the looser – it would be great to see one triumph. It really sends a mixed message to the rehabber - is the service they provide really valued by the sanctioning agency? Generally speaking, I think that the Wildlife Commissions see rehabbers as someone to handle those annoying calls from the public when they find an animal in need of help rather than individuals who can make a difference for the animals.
